'Tis the season for yard sales

Alachua

After having a large, succesful yard sale last week, the Santa Fe Raider Regiment Band will hold a second yard sale this Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the covered walkway of Santa Fe High.

Items on sale come from a variety of sources, including a local business that closed and donated its items to the band to sell.

High Springs

A benefit yard sale featuring housewares, furniture, clothes and more will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Town & Country Electric building next to the High Springs Fire Department.

Hosted by the Shiloh Baptist Church, the sale also will feature hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks. Donations will be accepted.
