Music, food on tap for library patrons

Music and food will greet library patrons in two separate programs this month in the Crescent Communities.

At the High Springs Branch Library, Katherine Archer will present "Toe-Tapping, Feel-Good Music With A Purpose" on Tuesday, July 11, at 2:30 p.m. The music is designed to "delight and educate the whole family." The library is located at 135 NW 1st Ave. in High Springs and can be reached at 386-454-2525.

A day later, on July 12, the Alachua Branch Library will present "The Great Jodini's Magical Food Feast." The presentation will be at 3 p.m. and be aimed at children.

The presentation is a "gourmet's delight, a fun-filled event with magic, storytelling, music, balloons and lots of laughs," library representatives said.

With help from her audience, Jodini will magically bake a cake, cook some spaghetti, pop some popcorn and bake a pizza.

The Alachua Branch Library is located at 14913 NW 140 St. in Alachua and can be reached at 386-462-2592
