Sponsors sought for Pioneer Days festival

HIGH SPRINGS – Sponsors are now being sought for the 2008 Pioneer Days, which is the area's largest annual celebration.

Pioneer Days, set for April 26 and 27, typically attracts 10,000 to 15,000 people to the 2-day festival, with as many as 150 vendors descending on the city's historical downtown area.

The festival features its signature “Shoot-Out,” where turn-of-the-century cowboys and bad guys shoot it out in scheduled performances. The festival also includes a Heritage Village and a Kids Korral for the children.

This year's event will feature its 2nd Annual Old Fashioned Barn Dance, with “old fashioned” music performed live on a stage.

Sponsorships range from $100 to $5,000, with a range of marketing and advertising offered, depending on the level of sponsorship chosen.

Sponsorship forms can be downloaded at the Chamber's Website at:

For more information, contact Pioneer Days Chairperson Lucie Regensdorf at 386-454-2206.
